The dining room can't really carry off a chandelier. I'm considering recessed lighting (although I'm not sure. It seems like a little bit of dangle might be nice. But I'm also thinking we might remodel the kitchen^? and the whole kitchen/dining room space might be affected. Installing recessed fixtures is pretty easy, though, so we might just do that (this is something we've done before and one we can easily do ourselves, I think).
